35 Weeks
I hit 36 weeks this week so this is a little behind but thought I'd do a comparison at 35. Same shirt and everything...
Just plugging along until baby brother is here. Kallie is super excited and carries her baby doll around everywhere. No name yet - just not ready to commit...though Kyle and Kallie are. I'll try one more belly pic as I get closer, if I can remember.

38 Weeks!
I am at 38 weeks! That means it is time for Kallie to be born. I got off my shots last night and go into the hospital this afternoon to wear compression boots until it is time to be induced Tuesday morning.
I can't believe the time has finally come. At times, it seems like the pregnancy has dragged and at other times, it has flown by. We are ready (although I don't think you can be fully ready for what's about to come). I keep reminding Kyle...we can't forget the car seat. But it is so exciting to finally be at the point where we will start a new phase of our lives. We are eager to see what God has in store!
Thank you to my family and friends for all your prayers and encouragement. We can't wait to share our new bundle of joy with you all!

Final Countdown
I'm in the home stretch until sweet Kallie gets here. We keep thinking...this is the last time we get to do this by ourselves...this is the last weekend by ourselves...we're never going to be alone again!!! :) I guess we should soak it up while we can.
I'm at 37 weeks here. One more week to go! Crazy!
I'm looking a little tired. That seems to be how I look a lot now. It's getting so much harder to bend over and move around.
I did have enough energy to make a few accessories for Kallie, though.
I'm going to add a little bling or pearls to the middles of them, but I think they turned out really cute and were so easy (and cheap) to make. I'm hoping she likes stuff on her head...
And, thanks to my sister-in-law Melissa, I have her going home outfit ready and packed. The pants have really cute ruffles on the bottom, but depending on how I feel, she may just wear the onesie home.
I need to pack my hospital bag, too. Any suggestions or must haves?

35 Weeks! 3 More to Go!
I made it to 35 weeks and only 3 more to go. I can't believe that this pregnancy is almost over and we will be able to hold little Kallie very soon!
We are almost done with Kallie's room. Kyle put together a bookcase/toy storage, which will be great to hold all her books, stuffed animals, blankets, etc. We also found a rocker/recliner for the room. I think it is my new favorite place to sit and read. It is so comfortable. I still need to hang up a few things and my mom plans to make curtains when she comes up so I'll have to post pictures of the rest of the room later.
This weekend we also had a little fun with the camera. Here are a few shots from the "photo shoot". :)
And a 35 week picture. All of this was after shopping in Tulsa and I was pretty worn out. I like the pictures without my face better...

33 Weeks
Spring is in the air, and the flowers and trees are blooming here in OK...
The pink blooms are from our peach tree in our backyard. We didn't have any peaches last year due to the bitter cold weather so I really hope that we get some this year. I'm also "blooming" nicely. Now at 33 weeks, only 5 more weeks to go before we meet our little one. Oh...we have so much to do!

Unforgettable 1st Pregnancy
This pregnancy has been unforgettable for many reasons.
Thinning my blood will help my body work through the clot. I will be having an utrasound each week to monitor her movement, breathing, etc and the fluid levels. I get to see her every week until delivery!! I will also have to be off the medicine for delivery...that means it's a scheduled delivery. We have set the date for Kallie's birthday (if everything goes according to plans--and we know how that goes sometimes). You can look for her arrival April 10th!! We are very excited and so looking forward to that day. That's only 7 more weeks...oh, it's going to go by so fast! After delivery I'll be back on the meds and then some more testing to check possible reasons why I got a blood clot. And when we have more kids, I will have to start taking shots again.
Here I am at 31 weeks...not too much longer.
Often times we don't know why these things happen and may never know but I am so thankful to the friends and family that have supported and prayed for us throughout this whole time. You are all precious to us and we thank you for loving us so much. To God be all glory and praise!
- This is our first baby!
- Being the 1st pregnancy, I don't know what to expect and am experiencing all kinds of changes to my body I never knew possible.
- We are pretty clueless when it comes to what we need, want, should expect or should do. Thank you to my many friends that have walked the road before us.
- Feeling Kallie punch and kick and have hiccups has been such a fun experience and I love her more and more each day.
- I'm pregnant at the same time as Mindy and we get to share all that we're going through together.
- And, I now give myself shots twice a day to thin my blood because of a blood clot.
As many of you know, I went into the hospital January 27th because of a blood clot in my left leg that went from my thigh all the way to my mid calf. I've been through the whole gamut of emotions: anger, fear, hopelessness, frustration, defeat, acceptance, peace, thankfulness. The list could keep going. Some days I'm positive and doing great, and other days the whole ordeal gets to me.
After first being hit with the news and as I was being wheeled into my hospital room, I saw a quote on the wall, "For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you." Isaiah 41:13. I couldn't help but start crying. I have embraced that verse and held tight to the fact that God is in control and holding onto my hand and my sweet baby's hand as he walks us through this trial. In no way is my attitude perfect and many times Kyle has had to encourage and support me through my crying fits but I know my God loves and cares for me and He will not leave me.
After many doctor appointments, we have a plan. I will be giving myself shots to thin my blood twice a day for the next 6 months. I haven't even made it through one month yet, but I will persevere.

Told you so...
We made America's Test Kitchen Oven Fries over the weekend...the best oven fries we have ever made. Will probably be our go to recipe from now on. I told you about America's Test Kitchen. They just know how to do it right. You can get the recipe here. She also has a recipe for San Francisco Garlic Fries that looks pretty good. And if saying I told you so doesn't convince you...check out this picture. Yummy!
Also thought I'd post a picture of me. This is last week at 24 and a half weeks. I had to show off my new boots I got at Christmas. I have wanted black boots for a long time and could never find ones that fit me right. Yay to finally finding some.

Still Growing...
I made it to 22 weeks! I can't believe I am already over halfway.
Two weeks ago I wore maternity jeans for the first time, and last week I wore maternity work pants...man, are those things comfortable. I don't know what I was waiting on. It is really nice to not feel like a stuffed sausage in regular clothes.
Thankfully, some generous friends donated to my maternity closet so I haven't purchased too much in way of clothes, but I did go shopping this past weekend. I found some good stuff but was pretty surprised at the lack of variety at most stores. And a lot of department stores only have a very small section of maternity clothes. This could also be that I only shop at places I have coupons and don't want to spend a ton of money for 4 months of wear. I may be regretting that later when I start labeling my clothes "Monday outfit", "Tuesday outfit", etc so I don't wear the same thing in the same week, but for now I'm happy with what I have.
Kyle has gotten to feel our baby girl kick a few times. It is fun to see his reaction, and hopefully it makes it a more real experience for him. I'm still so in awe of God, the Creator, and the miracle of a growing baby.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas! We are definitely looking forward to spending time with family.

It's A ...
So, several of my friends have blogs, and I stalk them often to keep up-to-date with what is going on in their lives. I'm not big on posting things on Facebook...too many people can read everything, so to reciprocate (as if they are interested in our lives) I decided to start a blog that they could stalk. Or at least my family will enjoy reading.
To start things off and if you didn't already know, I'm announcing...I'm pregnant! And I'm 20 weeks! We had our ultrasound today, and it was absolutely amazing seeing our sweet little baby moving around in my belly. Here is me at 20 weeks...

I have a little bump. I definitely gained the pounds for pregnancy so far. It has been pretty surreal. I keep thinking...am I really pregnant? Then we hear the little heartbeat and know there is still a baby in there and today's ultrasound confirmed it again. It was really neat to see our perfectly formed little GIRL!!! The technician said she was already selling tickets to the gun show showing off her muscles in there. Yep, definitely our little girl. Well, I'm off to spread the good news!
