Get Air

Spending time with Kallie's bestie at a trampoline park.  They had a blast!  She also hung out for the day with her.  We are sure going to miss that family.

Trick or Treat Town

Kallie went trick or treating (before Halloween again!) with her daycare buddy.  They were a little shy at first but really got into all the festivities.  They had a blast and of course love getting candy!

Our pretty 3 year old

With a newborn, it can be hard to appreciate what a sweet, pretty 3 year old we have.  Love that girl!

3 going on 13

Kallie and her make-up and high heels.  At least she's still rough and tumble and can take a fall like the best of them!

Girl's Day

One Friday Kallie and I had a girl's day (no boys allowed - according to Kallie).  We got Kallie a haircut and then went to the nail salon to get our toes painted.

Kallie felt so special and loved showing off her sparkly purple nails.

Princess Kallie

Kallie turned 3!  We sang happy birthday and she got to use the special plate.  This year I got the whole thing on camera.

She initially wanted a Nemo part - I searched everywhere for Nemo stuff.  But about 2 weeks before she switched to a Princess / Princess Sofia party.  Much easier to find.  Plus the girls wore their princess dresses and we got crowns for everybody.  The boys got paint stick swords.

Kallie's Bubbie and Bapaw got her an extra special gift - a Frozen power wheel.  She loved driving around in it and is actually pretty good.  (I put that together all by myself - I'm so proud of how I did and that I can be handy when Kyle's away).

Kallie's Lolly and Popsy got her some sporty stuff (along with a lot of girly dress up things as well) that I had to video.  Here is Kallie with her hockey stick (came with net).

And here she is swinging a bat - she's a natural (when she wants to be).  She actually hit the ball the first time after 3-4 swings.

Christmas Concert

Kallie's daycare had a Christmas dinner and concert.  It was so cute to see her dressed up on stage.  She knew most of the words to all the songs too (Jingle Bells, Away in a Manger and Silent Night).  She spent most of the time worrying about her sheep hat and costume though.  Note her hat started off the right direction (bottom right pic) but ended up backwards after the many adjustments.

Shots & Ice Cream

Kallie got a shot the other day.  And she got ice cream - it makes everything better (along with a fancy sparkly bandaid).

A Little Fixin'

I spent some time the other day actually fixing Kallie's hair.  It made her look all grown up. :(

Tang Time

Kallie skipped daycare on a Tuesday and spent the day with her best friend.  The week before, Kallie missed out on the huge success of the first Lemonade Stand and Cookie Sale.  The plan was to have a Tang (Lemonade) Stand and Kallie got to be there.  They had a total of 3 customers...  Not quite like the week before.

She had a blast anyway and loved spending the day with her friends.

The Summer Heat in Texas 2

Next up...Bubbie & Bapaw's house!  She got to spend a lot of time with her cousins and had more pool time.  I was able to see her over a weekend too!

She had awesome time here too. Poor Kyle was left with Skype and FaceTime for 3 weeks. It was really long and tough to be gone from her that long but I know both grandparent's had a blast.

By the way, the sunset was at about midnight when we flew into Alaska.  Beautiful but, it was nice to have a normal day/night for a few weeks.

The Summer Heat in Texas

I had some work to do in the L48 so took Kallie with me to spend 3 weeks with grandparents.  This was my first flight from Alaska with Kallie by myself and it turned out pretty good.

We left for the airport at about 1 AM.  Never ever doing that again to save a few $$.  Way too early but at least Kallie was not too crazy.

First stop was my brother's house.  They had an awesome kid's pool and Kallie kept asking to go back.

Next was to Lolly & Popsy's house.  As you can see, they did a lot.  Even a trip to the Frio where she said she was a "river rat".  Her hair started to curl up too in the heat and humidity.

What a blast Kallie had!  Next up...Bubbie and Bapaw's!

A Girly Girl...Finally

I need to write a blog about our visit to see family a few weeks ago but it's so much easier when the pictures are on my phone and not on my camera.  So here's another post of what's been going on from my camera phone.

One day this weekend, Kallie had to carry around her purse wherever she went.  She doesn't like bows, hates me to fix her her (although will let anyone else do it apparently), and is just a rough and tumble kinda gal.  I was shocked!  She even had to carry it around town when we were out running errands.  It was hilarious.

Happy Birthday Kallie!

Can't believe she is 2 years old!  Time flies!  We sang "Happy Birthday" to her this morning and put a candle in her muffin.

Then we got a call right when she blew out the candle (on the first try) which cut off my video.  A little anti-climatic!  She didn't want to do it again, either.  When I dropped her off at daycare, her teacher was starting to make her a crown to wear for the day.  So fun!  And we got a video from her favorite Texas twins that she loved!  All in all, I think she had a very special day.

2%

98% of the time Kallie is fantastic.  The other 2% looks like this:

Not sure what she was so upset about but it was tragic!

Early Christmas

We received several gifts in the mail from family for Kallie this year for logistical reasons.  We wrapped those up and let her go to town opening the gifts before "real" Christmas.  We took a lot of pictures and video so our families could see her opening up and playing with the gifts.

She had so much fun!  Thank you - she is definitely one spoiled little girl!

The Next American Idol

An official Christmas blog will come later but here are a few pictures of Kallie-gator semi-related to Christmas.

Cutest reindeer on the block.  She's turning into a little ham.  She also loved her new easel and kitchen.

The next few videos are Kallie and Kyle singing it up.  Should I daresay the next American Idol? Ha!
