Train Day

The Alaska railroad had a train day a few weekends ago.  We thought it would be fun to check out the trains, plus they had coupons for buy one get on free rides (which we would eventually like to do this year) and had a free train ride to boot. 

It was a beautiful Saturday but we were NOT expecting the crowd that showed up.  By the time we waited 1 1/2 hours we thought...this is getting pretty ridiculous.  But we were almost there so why not wait 30  more minutes...

Fortunately one of us went around with Kallie while the other waited in line.  Her prized possession was the balloon she took home.

It was fun but not worth the 2 hour wait...that event will probably be skipped next year unless the weather is bad.  Then we may show up.
