Visitors!

It was so fun to have our good friends (minus their twins) with us for a while in Alaska.  The weather had been beautiful before they came - turned rainy while they were here - and now is beautiful again!  That was a bummer but we still made the most of it.

We were supposed to go flightseeing one day, but it was cancelled due to high winds.  We thought that was bogus until we were on top of Mt. Baldy (Eagle River).  The hike up Mt. Baldy was pretty relentless.  Of course it wasn't that far up (or that long) but it was pretty much a steep incline the whole way.  And what we thought was the top really wasn't the top - it kept going and going.

We also got another special treat.  It snowed on the last day of May!  Pretty crazy!  Of course, Kallie loved it.  We were going to hike Flat Top this day but decided a cup of coffee would be more appropriate.  We also drove around Kincaid Park and saw a moose and her baby.  The baby was so cute but moved into the brush shortly after stopping.

We also saw one of the (don't know if I can claim the world's) biggest chocolate fountains.  No touching though - boo!  Anyway, this place was a cool touristy shop that now has Kyle addicted to chocolate covered coffee beans.  Thanks Scott!

We wished the weather was a little bit nicer for them but I think they got a pretty good feel of Alaska.  And I was ecstatic to see them!  See you guys again soon!
